I can only agree with bluesguitar65. The BJ is such a lovely little box. I'm playing through mine while i'm sat at the pc. Low volume, touch of reverb, completely clean, really lets you and your guitar sound natural. Just remember that it's a Blues Junior, not a Rock, Metal or Punk Junior.

Regards

Marge

I just played one today for the first time,I Loved it!! Thinking about buying it! Salesman told me all the "lower line" amps are made in mexico, the "pro stuff" is made in USA.Kind of a drag but I don't need a 60 watt blues deluxe just to play at home.Ya know?

I dont think its necessarily a "lower line" amp, just made to satisfy different needs. I absolutely love mine, I think these amps don't get the respect that they deserve.

Fender execs don't describe the Blues Junior "lower line." It's a midrange amp in price and every other way. Not premium, not a beginner amp. But solid all the way around.

Hundreds of Blues Juniors have passed through my hands and I can say with certainty that there's no quality difference between the US-made and Mexico-made Blues Juniors. Assembly shifted to Mexico at the same time that they did some revisions to the circuit board that improved the amp overall.

Just to clear things up,(so you all don't think I'm a d@#k)-I merely quoted the salesman using the terms "lower line" and "pro stuff" as HE put it. Like I said, I thought that little amp sounded great! I'll probably go pick it up this week. Although I'm torn because I also played a Pro JR. and loved the tone out of that as well...

I have a Pro Junior, several Blues Juniors and a couple of Super Champ XDs. The only thing the PJ gets used for these days is as a mule cabinet to test speakers.

It's cool, but it's a 1.5 trick pony.

How does this amp compare with the Vox AC15CC1? I have heard great things about the Blues Jr, and have heard a band mate's, and it does indeed rock. I haven't heard the Vox, but it's not *that* much more....

Anyway, I'd love to hear folks' opinions on that.

Thanks,

M

PS: I think I visited your website the other day - lots of cool sounding mods (especially the easy "twin stack").

I think I'm going to go for a Blues Jr. Lightweight, and from what everyone says, pretty darn good.
