I forget which thread it was in, but I think one of you responded to something I posted about using a Y splitter adaptor so two amps could be used. I forget exactly what said, but I was warned against it. I'll heed that warning.
However, I was surfing the net and found a gadget from Mojotone that allows you to plug into multiple amps.
well, here's the link

Rene Martinez "Texas Guitar Whiz" Signal Splitter

http://www.mojotone.com/store/Rene-Mart ... !295713829

I think that signal splitter is exactly what I was thinking of, more or less.
well anyway...

If I remember correctly, you were talking about a "Y" on the output of the amp, for multiple speakers paralleled on the output not being a good idea. The device that you linked to is for using the guitar INTO multiple amps, just like an "ABY" switch. You can safely split the guitar signal into multiple amps, but not safely split the output (speaker jack). I don't know how many amps that you want to run, but a cheaper ABY switch would work just fine for up to three amps, maybe cheaper than the Guitar Whiz. :)

I don't recall that Y for speakers. I know I was talking about a "Y" for multiple amps. The single end to the guitar and dual ends to two amps.
Maybe I didn't word it right before, but when I saw the linked product I was reminded of the discussion.
As near as I can tell, you can play through two or more amps simultaneously.

I'd go with the Switchbone. Why deal with polarity issues and frequency cancellation. I'd look for one on Fleabay or Craigslist or just plunk down $250 for it. I borrow one from time to time and it works like a charm. There's other boxes too.

Alternatively you could just buy a stereo guitar pedal which not only will split your signal but you can use the effect on it too.

Yep, but you'll still have a dry signal on the other amp.

Thanks supro.
My personal application would be for blending purposes.
Say a 10" with x tone settings and 12" with xy tone settings
each mic'd and mixed before going into the recording track.
Just a possibilities avenue.

I saw an ad in the back of Guitar Player for a Carl Martin switch box, not sure what it's called. It has two guitar inputs, two outputs to amps and a loop input/output. I can't remember how much it costs exactly... $100+.
