My amp started quiting last year intermittently. It would just go silent after getting warmed up.
I had a reputable well known fender amp tech near Orlando area look at it. It was intermittent and he could not reproduce the problem. I took it back when it did it again a month later. He kept it for a week and found no issues until the final day I was ready to pick the amp back up for quick sale as amp parts on Craigslist. He noticed the channel switching light flickering and then the amp went silent for him. The amp was getting stuck between 2 channels and would not work until you shut the amp off and let it cool down.
He re-soldered all the components involving channel switching. This worked for about 6 months now the issue has come back. Is there some known issue with channel switching on these amps? I searched support page and found zero results for "channel" or "switch". Not sure if support search is working correctly.

Welcome 7ender user.

It seems to be a solder joints issue, this a common problem in electronic specially when power heat-up stresses much more the solder joints due differential displacements.

Hi randalltomes,

I agree with Tissan, probably solder joints, cold or even cracked. Sometimes they are hard to see and you may need a magnifier to see them. Try a search on this forum using "Fender Twin Pro", I seem to remember a few of these amps being discussed here.
