Yes Twinhit, I'm looking to use all three at once - internal + 2 external. The cab arrived yesterday and I loaded the speakers into it. I've got an Eminence Texas Heat on the top and a really nice Fender (stock from my BDRI, also made by Eminence) on the bottom. They're both 8ohm speakers. The cab came pre-wired with a switchcraft 1/4 inch plug in the back. There is also wiring and the connectors to wire it in series or parallel.

Which way should I wire them? Series or Parallel? I'm assuming parallel, just have never worked with an external cab before.

I am thinking series.

This is the same as the previous diagram, but with 8-ohm drivers.
8 (ohm speaker) multiplied by 2 (speakers) equals a 16-ohm load.

Compare

Example: 2 X 4 Ohm Speaker = 8 Ohm Load, 2 X 8 Ohm Speaker = 16 Ohm Load, 2 X 16 Ohm Speaker = 32 Ohm Load

I do recommend that you read that whole page.
You might seek follow-up with the others who have commented for second opinon confirmation before you commit.

Also, this is very important:
Though they look similar, use ONLY SPEAKER cables and NOT instrument cables to plug your external cab into the amp's external speaker jack.
Be sure to mark your speaker cables clearly so there is no mistake which cable you are using to make the connection.

If you have to ask that question then you haven't been following this thread very closely because all options have been explained in it.

Short answer: Wire the speakers in the extension cab in series.

If you want to know why, read the thread.

Edit: Twinhit beat me to it.

Let us know if you blow up anything. We'll watch for it on CNN.
