A baffle's not too bad, Bill.

Say, about $45-$50 for materials (less grill cloth, which can usually be "re-cycled").

Forget 4x10, forget 2x12, go for 1x15 :D

My ears prefer 2x12 over 4x10, and 1x15 over 2x12. I have not heard 2x15, I bet that would be the ultimate speaker setup for me :) YMMV...

To which you add the labor to cut a new baffle and to remove the old one/replace the new one. Stretching grille cloth to be tight and even all around can be time consuming. So say $100 total?

The OP never said he already owned the two 12" speakers. I just think it would be easier to replace the factory 10" speakers with something better (Webers as you suggested). Two V30s are $290 from Musician's Friend. Four Weber 10A125s are $380 + shipping. Add the cost and labor for the new baffle board to the price of the Celestions. Do the cost/benefit analysis. Looks like almost a wash to me, and I bet the cab with 4 Webers would blow the 2 Celestions away. 8)

Fender (Eminence) Vibroverb 15" speaker: $75
New 1x15 baffle: $100

You do the math :P

Sounds about right.

Perhaps but that's not for me to say since everybody hears things differently. Personally I wouldn't own a HRDvl after my own battles with a new HRDlx but I thought I'd try to be helpful rather than argumentative.
