Hi everyone, I own a 2007 Fender American Stratocaster, and I have just purchased a Fender FM 212 DSP amplifier. So far, I'm really disappointed in this amp. My style is mostly shredding, and heavy metal, and this amp's distortion is horrible, it buzzes constantly, and i am unable to get the tone i want. Furthermore, it is IMPOSSIBLE to get a decent tone for sweep picking, or alternate picking, and even for the ussual metal solos. I regret being persuaded by the salesman at my local guitar shop, although i have a 5 year warranty, and can return it with no problems. I'm now thinking of buying a roland cube60, since i only need an amp for small gigs and band practises. My question is, is that a good decission, or should i look into something else? (my budget is 500 dollars maximum).

Thanks!

Well, I don't know much about Cube 60s but I do know that the FM Series were never praised. If you want a great Fender amp I suggest you buy a tube (though they are quite expensive). Try out the cube and see if it is to your liking.
