I have a problem with a Fender 90 DSP amplifier. It is motorboating after it is on for about 5 minutes. I have replaced the power supply caps. I thought it was them because when i would touch them the problem would stop. But as soon as i let go of them the sagging drop out/motorboating would come right back

I build amplifiers for a living but only tube amplifiers. This is solid state and im thinjing it is a PS diode in that section. If i put my meter to the top of one cap i get -45ma and get up and down reading on the second cap

I also think that it may be an osscillation occuring but from what area of the board or part value i do not know

Other than that the amp is a pretty sweet sounding amp for what it is

Are there any good Amp techs on this forum?

Also the schematic isnt available online

It's tough to diagnose repair problems over the Forum.

You can always try consumerrelations@fender.com for help, including schematics.

The Deluxe 90DSP schematic is indeed missing from our Support site for some reason...we'll get it added.

Thanks,
Shane
