Hahaha.. way cool jr, you had me laughin for reals.. I like a challenge, but when you put it so sarcatically, its hard for me not to bite for the challenge.

"i mean who wants to see a guy who has a need, take action with a few primitive tools and build something so darn cool and useful?"

I'd guess down deep your a kind soul thats good with words cause what you really said was "so something or STFU or crap or get off the pot. Thats what I heard.. I'll take a look at things tomorrow and see what I can do. I got most the tools arjay mentioned, minus the walpaper stuff. I'm okay with wood working, and purdy good with electronics as long as I got instructions (soldering is easy). I am not good with metal at all.

I'm gonna look into this tomorrow.

I will not be able to work on it tomorrow, but I plan to take a $@!& look a the amp, take some measurements, and think about it while I'm on the road all week with my job. I got halloween gigs friday and Saturday gigs that should be a ton of fun since I'll be a Nun. Something like this will take me some time, since I don't have much spare time.
In all seriousness, I'm thinking I might tackle this since it seems like you guys can advice me when needed.

way cool jr, your post/link passed me by some how. I'll check it out now.

Arjay, I tried to talk the rest of band into going as religious figures, but they felt it was too over the top/sacriligious?

Heres a pic of last years halloween gig. I'll be playing with the exact same fellas Friday night.. I was able to talk all the guys into going drag and I was shocked that they did it. I think the primary reason for them going in drag is because the customs were free.. Note.. Everyone one of us are straight (not that you care or it matters).

Since yall like the blonde, here is a video of her to make your mouth water. She is my best friend and we have been making music together since we were 16.

JodyP,
I did the BluesJr to a head conversion without the chassis tube change.
Simply took it apart, measured twice & cut the bottom off.
Cut the sides to just enough where the tubes can be removed, made a new plywood bottom & front baffle w/ cutouts for air through the new grillcloth, glued & screwed all. (the orig. particle board is sawdust & glue so
be accurate on your cuts.)
If you peel back the tolex from the bottom without distorting it, it can be reglued to the new bottom.
It looks like an outboard reverb unit!

Loved it so much, I converted the HRDeluxe too.
Email me for photos & don't worry, you'll be committed as of the first sawcut!
Vin

Great suggestion, Vin. That was the solution, that occurred to me when Jody said cost was a primary concern. A friend did that very thing, cutting a 4X12 Marshall cab with great results. Art

Art,
Is that to say he wound up with a straight 2-12" AND an angled 2-12"?
Very cool whether a straight or angled!
It may be as we get older but it's still an awful lot easier to move around
the smaller cabs and for the bigger gigs, bring them both.

I just hope Jody realizes that particle board is a bear to work with.
He's got to measure twice!

Vin
