Just put a JAN 5751 in V1, and two Svetlana 12AX7s in V2 and V3 as suggested by jon at thetubestore.

My initial thoughts were, what is that extra subtle high tone, is that a microphonic? But then I realized, it was just adding some sweetness and overtones to my top end that I had never heard before. Somehow these tubes brightened my amp, while at the same time smoothing out the harsh top end, and making the whole clean tone warmer. I really like how it sounds.

I've got a late breakup matched pair of TAD 6L6GC-STRs on the way from the tube store. Can't wait to hear how they sound. I thinking the cleans will be even more amazing.

yea the svetlana 12ax7 has slightly less gain than the tungsol, and is supposed to be a little smoother. So I went for that because my main goal is to get the best clean tone possible. I plan on using pedals for everything else.

I think what made the most difference was the 5751 in V1. I tried swapping out the svetlanas for the fender tubes and I only could tell a slight difference, someone with a better ear probably would have heard more. Anyways I concluded that the 5751 was responsible for warming my tone and smoothing my highs. I would HIGHLY suggest this for any other Blues Deluxe RI users. It really didn't take any drive out of my distortion channel either.

Even if just for the clean tone, the BDRI made sense to me over the PRRI.
I got it for only $500 used, whereas the PRRI is usually around 800 used, and hard to find. Plus it has 40 watts clean headroom. So this is basically like my poor man's twin reverb haha.
