Hey guys... Does anybody know, why this brand new amp can get out of signal during a performance? It happens when I was playing at 3.5 points of volume on the overdrive channel.
I'm really worried about it! :(

Help!

Do you have problems with other amps? Using the same equipment in your chain, can you compare with a second 212R If so and the second 212R doesn't give you problems, you may have a defective amp.
Just be sure to use the exact same equipment guitars effects in order to rule them out.
I take advantage of a second amp to see if I cannot rule out the problems in the one I have.

Ok, thanks... I was talking with the salesperson this afternoon and he told me that if that the amplifier is defective he will change it for a new one... :? I don't know if I have to wait and get the trouble again or to give it back right now... could be an overheating problem, right? It happens after an hour and half on stage playing with that volume.

That would be a good guess - If playing the amp drives the thermal levels up, it might have an effect on sensitive components. Specifically what components, I don't know but I do know that all electronic components have certain thermal exposure limit that can slightly alter, temporarily disable or drastically reduce performance if not completely fail.

Yours may be a case where a defective component has not been discovered by the Fender QC inspectors. It could be a batch or an isolated defective part.
I would ask the sales person to assure you that if the second amp fails or acts like the one you now have in possession if you can get an alternative amp.
Just because you have problems with this amp doesn't mean the next one give you trouble, but if a second and third amp act the same as the first, then there is a trend. It could be a bad component like x batch of firestone tires on a car. Doesn't mean the car is bad, does it?
Take the salesman up on the exchange and watch for similarities being careful to note conditions equipment used in the chain and time played with the amp you have now and the next amp. This way you will have a better idea what your watching for.

Hope I didn't lose you. I got a lot on my mind.

Hey, I missed one thing that I don't know if it is important or not... My amp was over the bass amp during the gig ... does it matter?
