Hey

Im thinking of upgrading my amplifier. ATM my amp is only 15W (beginner amp). I need a bigger one since this one really doesn't suit my needs.
An amp from 20-50W is what i desire, and a Fender one it has to be.
But as I don't know much about Fender amps, could anyone suggest a reasonable one, which is more than needed for home use, and is suitable for small gigs?
Thanks

Fender Blues Deluxe Reissue. Just bought one and it sounds great. 40 watts, super loud, two channels. Won't do heavy stuff but you want a fender so I assume you know that. You can find them for 400-500 used. Definitely the better choice over the Hot Rod Deluxe.

My budget is about 500 dollars. Not looking for a really good one, just one in which u can actually FEEL what you're playing, if you get what I mean. Cause right now the amp I use is like listening to the radio with that *tchh* noise. Lol.

Thanks :D

Try looking for a pre-owned 65'deluxe reverb re-issue (22 watts). Takes pedals real well too. If you look hard enough, you might find it for under 500. im not sure how expensive things are over there in the states.

I vibrolux/vibroverb is good too, twins are dynamite but they're really REALLY loud (85-100watts) and real heavy too.

As for the hot rods, they've got some funny things wrong with them (Im unsure about the new ones). Im sure 63supro will soon chime in and tell you better info on the old and new hot rods.

Been looking at the Deluxe Reverb RI and the Egnater Rebel 20. Can't make up my mind. The DRRI is around $700 used in my area. The Rebel 20 is $500-600 used. Both great amps and haven't seen many negatives about either one. The Rebel 20 does not come with an onboard spring reverb. But I have a Digitech RP250 that could fill in for that. Obviously 1 is Fender and the other isn't.

As a deluxe reverb owner ,I have to recommend that ,but realistically it would cost more than 500 bucks. It is a phenomenal amp though. You might want to look at the peavey classic 30 or a ennater tweaker at 15 watts. They go for around 580 new.A pro or blues jr would be ok for a beginner .If you want to gig soon ,dont sell your self short. If its gonna be a while an inexpensive tube amp such as a pro jr of blues jr would be ok.I wouldnt get a blues or hotrod deluxe .40 watts is way more than you need. You need to work on your tone without having to worry about the volume.A low powered tube amp preferably with a master control would be your best bet.JMO.

I own a Rebel 20 and it's one of the best sounding and versatile amps I've ever owned in my 40 years of playing. I've had it a little over a year and gigged on a regular basis and it's been totally reliable. I like it because it's different. I've been playing Fender amps most of my life and just wanted something different. Still, you can't go wrong with a DRRI.
