Arjay,
NIce amp setup! What Fender speaker cabinets are you using? I am looking for a Fender 2x12 cabinet for my twin, and I am not too sure about how ohms work. I know the Twin is 4 ohm and the Vibro-King VK-212B is a 4 ohm cabinet, so I am sure that would work. Would a 8 ohm Band Master VM 212 work with the Twin?

Indeed they are. And easier to maintain, easier to mod.

Which is why I like to pick up the so-called "inferior" silverfaces for a song, overhaul the chassis and tune it to spec, then reconfigure them into custom editions that look for all the world like a geniune Fullerton product that Leo just never got around to marketing......

The brown 2 x 10 "Pro" combo shown began life as a garden-variety '68 silverface Bandmaster head. Now it breathes fire and brimstone through a pair of alnico CTS drivers from a '74 Super Reverb. Similarly, the '80 Princeton no longer strangles on its single anemic Oxford 10 -- it barks and roars through a pair of JBL K120's as a home-cloned piggyback conversion.

Nope......nothin' wrong with the silverfaces. Nothin' at all!

Disclaimer: no invasive or irreversible mods were performed on either of these amps -- they are easily returned to 100% factory original condition with a phillips screwdriver and twenty minutes' time.
