Oh well, Arjay, I guess I get the idiot award today! It all came out fine and I won't EVER put that Eminence junk back in there anyway (no offense to those of you who like the Eminence sound).

The Emi's are "okay".

But between the two, I'd prefer the V30's.

I push a pair with a '66 Bandmaster......awesome!

I should not have said "junk" ... but they seem so "brittle" sounding.

Most OEM-spec speakers (from any manufacturer) seem to take longer to break in. Some of Emi's own proprietary speakers sound pretty good if they're used according to the company's design parameters, better still after 25 hours or so. The Fender-branded Emi's are pretty stiff and need 40-50 hours before they'll lose their sterility and brittleness.

Well that answers my dilema, my twin was made in 2000 so my Eminence have been pounded on for about eleven years.

Excellent break in period

If they aint broke in by now, its not gonna happen !!!

Arjay I just A/B'd the twin next to my Cyber Twin just for fun minutes before listing it for sale, absolutely no freak'n way that cyber stuff gets even close to the tone of the "real" Twin Reverb ( even if it is a Reissue )

My knowledge of the CT would fill a thimble......mebbe.

That said, somebody really experienced with this platform (like our esteemed Johnny Static) could prolly tweak the programming for a more realistic BFTR vibe.

Personally, I'll take the intimate warmth and mojo of an all-tube Fender anyday.

Well my son reminded me the other day when i said we were putting this last one up for sale that this makes four combos and one head and cab that I have purchased from C/L deals and grew tired of all of them in less than six months.

I've had a lot of time under the hood if you will on these beasts, they are fun to toy around with and get lots of comments when people see what they Are capable of, then They hear the real deal and the self turning dials just are not enough any more.

So why do I keep buying them ? For fun and profit, problem is, now you can't give them away.
