The red power indicator light on my reissue twin will come on bright when first turned on then will get dim or go out. Amp works fine, next time you look it may be on. Have pulled bulb out wiggled it around does not seem to change any thing. Any ideas

Could be a bad solder joint on 6.3V supply wires T47 bulbe lamp or the lamp itself. First order one and change it. If still on/off, contact a tech or if you have enough skills open an search for the bad sloder joint. But take care about "high" voltage that can be fatal. Make sure that the amp is unpluged before any measurements.

+1

The #47 bulbs are cheap enough if you buy them by the 10-pack but as Tissan mentioned, it could also be a wiring issue with the harness that links the tube heaters and the pilot lamp socket to the 6.3VAC tap at the power tranny.

I'm not sure if your amp is the same circuit as the '65 Twin Reverb Reissue. The schematic shows a hum balance control following the lamp. I'd give this a couple of 1/4 turns both ways returning it to near the same position it was originally. See if this gets any action out of the lamp. Next I'd look at all of the tube heater filaments, for a white-orange glow. You just want to check that none are glowing a bright white. The smaller tubes should look about the same, the large tubes should be at a comparable level with each other. Hope it's just the bulb ! Art
