When people offer rude and aggressive comments and opinions, they are personal, and are taken as such. In the real world, if you offer a comment or opinion, they had better not be offensive, or you might eat a fist. People should be nice and mannerly when they speak. Or accept the results. You can't hide behind "don't take it personally."

I usually start off an extremely offensive criticism with "With all due respect..." and then launch into it. That almost always gets me off the hook for some of the rudest, dumbest, crassest stuff you can think of. Works like a charm (and for Ricky Bobby). :o

Well we're off the subject again..

Everybody just needs to remember that we're all guests here of the Fender Corporation. This is their official website. It gives us the opportunity to talk about products, players, experiences, what we actually do with Fender instruments and how we develop them. The site also gives us the ears of Fender staff and managers. All of this makes this a vaulable resource we mostly all cherish.

Squabbles (usually out of some sense of dented pride or other macho nonsense) have no place here. If thats what some folks want, they should save it for their own forums. Think on this - if I were a potential customer of Fender, skimming the forum comments for info and opinion on a possible purchase, I might be put off by a Company that allows inconsequential ramblings on it's Official Website. True, the Moderation here is quite relaxed, so it would seem there may not be too many issues to worry the Company at the end of the day. But let's not make this Forum a problem that they may need to address at some time in the future.

Just my 2c..

Eat a fist? Real world? LOL I take nothing personally even if my screen name is mentioned in the comment and even then I can always choose to either not read it or just ignore it. It's just stupid to get all worked up over someone's comments no matter how rude they are. Maybe my skins a little thicker than some members.

We are guests here because FMIC makes a ton of money off of us all who love Fender gear. No one cherishes it more than FMIC. It's the easiest and most inexpensive way for Fender to keep it's finger on the pulse of the consumer. I can go almost anywhere to discuss Fender gear. I just like many of the members here including Arjay who has freely given great advice on repairing guitar amps. He has given way more advice than rude comments IMO. He speaks bluntly and honestly and I appreciate that, especially the honesty aspect of his comments. Some of us here have gigged and recorded professionally long before Pro Tools and its Plug-Ins and have a lot to offer. Someone's toes will get stepped on from time to time and it happens. Personally, I just move on and don't hide behind anything. I don't whine about someones comments either. We never professed to be "The Brady Bunch".

To clarify what supro is saying, you simply have to add "it just turned out that way." to the end of the sentence.

IMHO Americans are simply just one great big Brady Bunch.

Remember that when you engage a flame war with Osama Bin Ladin and Co.

Be Brady!

Sure, he's secretly buying all the vintage Fender gear and planting dirty bombs in it and resell it back to us at an even more enormous profit.

Mr. Bell folded mine personally.

Arjay

If it works for Art, if it works for Arjay, it'll work for you, too.

Personally, I believe that helmets made of lead or some composite containing lead would reflect incoming spy frequencies better but I haven't met anyone who's tried one out.
