I am trying to sell my HR DeVille on Craigslist and someone wants to trade a Marshall JCM 2000 DSL head for my HRD, event trade. Any opinions? I would sell the head anyway, just wondering if it is worth it.

Thank You

I would assume that Marshall head is worth more than a Deville and you are getting the better end of the deal. Do an ebay search for completed autions of a JCM2000 DSL and see what they are going for.

Ah.

I have a Marshall jcm2000 2x12 TSL combo AND a deville.

Let me tell you that the marshall is alot more usable, good cleans (At a medium volume) and great overdrives, and its more reliable and im also probably right in thinking it'll retain it's value better too.

It probably easier to shift a jcm2000 too.

Well,

That went quick, 15 minutes on the Marshall making sure everything was working and then 5 minutes on the HRD with Telecaster and done. Now I have to sell the Marshall head, just not really my sound.

Thank You all for your input and your amusement Arjay! :P

I'm curious myself. I thought all the younger guys preferred those "mega-stacks of doom" (though I can't imagine any venue where one could be opened up and played as they were meant to be played)?

Well im selling a marshall jcm2000 TSL 50watt combo at the moment and let me tell you that it is an amazing amp. Its got great distortions and the cleans are great too. But the headroom on it isnt as high as id like it to be (But my main amp is a fender 65'twin....) I bought it at the time as a lower powered amp so that i could put the twin to rest for a little while but sadly it doesent have that fender, "Chime". Its quite close though.

So im still using that twin, and its not been beaten yet....

No issues really, it is just not what I was looking for. I wanted $525 for my HRD and the Marshall is selling at ~$700. I have not sold it yet, it did make me get off my butt and finish the 2 cabs I have in process. I should be able to listen to it with a 210 today. 8)

Then I can AB it with the BDRI!

I have a DSL 50, but I wouldn't trade even. The DeVille isn't in the same class as a DSL that has been gone thru by a good tech.
