Can you replace the steel trim/guide ring on input 1 or 2. The ring came out of input 1 and I cannot find it. Anyone replace one of these and where did you get it? Does the whole input jack need to be replaced?

Thank You
Brian

Hi black70bird,

I am not sure what part that you are talking about. If you are talking about the washer and/or nut, both can be replaced. But, if you are talking about the metal part inside the jack, then you must replace the whole jack. I believe that those are the same input jacks that are on the HRDlx. The jacks are plastic and mounted to the PC board, so I would recommend replacing them with something like Switchcraft (below). The Switchcraft jacks are not mounted to the PC board, and will require wires from the jacks to the board. Make sure to use isolation shoulder washers, so that the metal input jack doesn't touch the chassis. There are kits on eBay that have the Switchcraft input jacks and isolation washers and instructions on how to install them. I have replaced the input jacks on my HRDlx, and may eventually replace the ones on my HRDvl also. :)
