Hi towps,

You might try here. The year on the chart only goes to 2000 (K), so 2001 (L), 2002 (M), etc.

You cannot. None of us can. I'm not certain Fender knows.

I sent Fender the serial number of my amp and they told me the date it was made, you can try the same.

Correct, contact Consumer Relations at E-mail: consumerrelations@fender.com and they will send you the information on your amp. I buy a lot of used Fender equipment and they have only had difficulty on a Blues DeVille made in 1995, I had to look at the pc board on that one.

Cheers!

Good point black70bird, the US models do have a hand written date on the PC board. Just remove the chassis cover and look for the date, it will be very close to when the amp was made. Not sure if the Mex models do this or not. :) Make sure not to touch anything inside the amp, it could be a shocking experience!

Consumer Relations provided the directions on where to look and what to avoid touching, they are first class. 8)

The link to Fender for dating your amp, that I posted before was working, now it doesn't (forum makeover caused broken link). The new Fender link to date your amp (link below). The 1993 printing on the circuit board is just when that particular board was designed, or revised, and only indicates that your amp was made on or after that date. The inspection tag date code is good enough, your amp was made in 1995, August. No need to look further, you've found it. :)

BTW, the email address "consumerrelations@fender.com" does work, just copy the address and paste into your email program. If you click it as a link, it will try to launch an email program. The email address, street address and phone number, can be found at the link below.

what about the letters in the serial?
do these have any bearing on when the amp was made?
the serial starts with LO - T

could the LO imply Dec 2004?

the link clearly states the QA sticker though
