Has anyone tried using the rear panel send & return jacks & pots for the FX loop on their Supersonic Head to adjust the levels in order to be able to set the two front panel volume knobs higher & drive them harder, especially when having to play at a lower volume? Would be like changing the FX loop into a master volume for both channels like you can do on some Marshalls. If so, how did it work out & how did you do it? Thanks & Rock on!

Hi stratrocs,

It sounds like you want to have the driven sound (amp cranked) at lower volume levels. If so, you won't get that from a volume control in the effects loop. You need a power soak between the output jack of your amp, and speaker. This will allow you to crank the volumes on the amp, and adjust the desired volume to the speaker using the power soak volume control. If I understood your post correctly. :)

Wont work but if you jump the loop ypu can use it as a very effective foot switchable solo boost!
