Well it's like this, see......

Do you prefer a sprained wrist, a wrenched knee, or hip replacement?

Actually, all three of these amps share a familial tone. But there are some significant differences in how they perform.

The Deluxe Reverb gives up the "sweet spot" at relatively reasonable volume levels and it's the most vintage Fender tube tone available in a 40-lb package.

The Super Reverb is perhaps the punchiest medium-venue amp ever made but it needs to be adequately cranked to really shine. Busted shins are not uncommon when lugging this 60-lb tone monstah around.

The Twin Reverb is the grand-daddy of blackface "clean" -- no matter how high you jack the volume control, it never really reaches the smooth compressed breakup that characterizes sonic nirvana. It just gets LOUDER. And at close to 90 lbs, owners swiftly realize why pros who play these things usually hire roadies.

HTH

Deluxe Reverb = Loud
Super Reverb = Louder
Twin Reverb = Loudest

I don't think you'll be disappointed. Many of us here own and play DRRI's (some even have more than one).

Great choice! You can pick up a nice used DRRI in great shape off Craigslist for $600 or less.
