I have GAS so bad right now, just sold my BJr and purchased a BDRI. Now there is a Blues DeVille 212 for $400 or a Fender "Red Knob" Evil Twin 100 Watt for $500??? Home use and I have the BDRI to drag around if I need to. Opinions, ideas ...

Blues and classic rock

Fender Evil Twin all the way for me. Does depend on the style of music you'll be using it for though.

Joe.

How are you using the amp? Home? Gigs?

The BDRI is pretty loud with 40 watts. The Blues Deville 212 (Are you sure you don't mean Hot Rod Deville 212? I think there was a BD 212, but the current model is a Bluese Deville 410) has 60 watts. The Evil Twin is 100 watts.

What do you need the additional power for if they are only used at home?

I said I had really bad GAS (Gear Acquisition Syndrome), I didn't say I needed it. At $500 I figured it was a good price. Yes they made a Blues DeVille 212, I was under the same impression. I also have a HR DeVille 410 that is way too loud at 60 watts. The Evil Twin has a power switch that you can drop it to 25 watts. Sooo ... which is the best deal?

The Twin (Red Knob) is alot of amp for home even swichable to 25watt I know I have one. They do sound great. 500 dollars is no great deal but not way high either. They sound great when played loud. I can,t get mine above 3 without shaking the walls of my house.

The Blues Deville/Hot Rod Deville 212 is also 60 watts, so no real advantage over a HR Deville 410 as far as volume goes.
