hi - I'm trying to bypass the onboard effects in the cyber-twin and use the amp's send-return loop with my multi-effects pedal. I'm exploring setting the cyber-twin to one of the none effects amp patches (A-00-34) and having some success but if anyone has done this i'd like to hear their ideas on getting the best results.

thanks, Mike

Hi,
Like to help, but you need to give more information about your setup. What type of effects pedal do you have? What kind of music are you playing? How loud do you play? There are more factors involved to give an honest opinion.

However, I can tell you what I know about the items I own:
Boss GT-10. On EVERY preset, turn off the amp modeling. Only use the effects. Set EQ to flat. Use the compressor sparingly, better yet, not at all.

Line6 X3 Live: On EVERY effect, turn off the amp modelling and compressor. On the EQ, turn off the presence and adjust treble to taste.

Boss ME-70: Do not use the pre amp settings. Use the EQ only or turn it off.

With an effects pedal, turn off any preamps or modelling amps. With your amp, you want the cleanest amp tones you can get. i.e.The Twin. If you buy a Boss line switcher pedal, you can switch your guitar into your effects pedal then into the amp, or switch your guitar into the Cyber Twin directly and use the built-in effects. Or use them both in parallel. A very cool option.
