I need some help/suggestions from you guys that are smart about amps.

I have a black knob solid state Princeton Chorus amp that's about 15 years old that I absolutely love. I play it mostly through the clean channel and I really enjoy the chorus and reverb that I get from the amp played through my Teles.

What Fender tube amps (new or old) are out there that can give me the same chorus and reverb effects with more watts? (The Princeton Chorus is 25 watts/channel.)

I have a SCXD and a 65 Princeton Reverb RI along with a few others I enjoy, but I'm looking for something bigger with the chorus and reverb in a Fender tube amp.

Thanks!

RickyD

You won't find Chorus in any of the new 100% tube amps. You can get it with the VM series (Deluxe VM and Band-Master VM) which are both 40 watt tube amps with Solid State effects. Many, if not all, fender tube amps have reverb.

If you try the VM series and don't like either, get one of the other fender tube amps you do like, and buy a Boss Chorus effect pedal. It has a good sound IMO.

Why don't you put 2 Princeton Chorus in parallel ?

Advantages: you have 2 amps, good for transport and "your sound"

Drawback: Control 2 times the sound, may be cost
