I guess I have a little of the effects pedal condition syndrome too. I have purchased an acoustic stomp box, Line 6 looper, wah and volume pedal, VooDoo Lab amp selector, an A-B-Y box, and two Line 6 Stomp boxes for my Line 6 amps. There may be no hope for me afterall. On the bright side, it's only my wife and I, our children are grown and I am gainfully employed. It's also nice to know that there are a lot of forum members who think I am normal. :D

I think it's a normal development for guitarists...

I had a lot of gear:

Amps (sold):
Fender Frontman 25R,
Fender RocPro 700,
Marshall AS50R,
Vox Pathfinder 10,
Fender Hot Rod Deluxe,
Fame Studio Reverb + 2x12" cabinet,
Fender Bandmaster VM + 2x12" VM cabinet
Fender '65 Twin Reverb RI

Guitars (sold):
Yamaha Pacifica 112,
Squier Telecaster Std.,
H&K Doubleneck (strat shape),
Tenson SG copy,
Stagg 12string Ovation copy

Amps (current):
Fender Hot Rod DeVille 410 + Hot Rod Enclosure 112,
Fender Super Sonic 22,
Fender Vibro Champ XD
Fender Mustang I

Guitars (current):
Fender Deluxe Powerhouse Strat (with Fender '54 CS pickups),
Fender Deluxe Roadhouse Strat,
Squier Classic Vibe 60s Strat,
Epiphone Les Paul Std.,
Yamaha CPX-5,
Yamaha C60,
Roscoe RDG-1

Can't remember all my effectpedals during the years...

Problem is: I regret some sellings... The HRDlx was USA made from 2001 and looked like a new one when I sold it in 2009. The '65 Twin Reverb was a killer sounding amp but too heavy for practical use (I found an almost similar sound in the Super Sonic 22, more versatile and significantly less weight). The Bandmaster VM stack had to go because I needed money for the USA made Hot Rod DeVille on ebay last year (was a good change, but the stack looked cool and was very versatile).

I think I would own the Twin and the Bandmaster stack as well as the Fame stack if I hadn't needed money for new gear

Greetings
Martin

Think about what you need - what you really need. Think about what you have. Do you need more?

I have more than I need right now. Three electrics (Tele, Strat, and a semi), a steel-string acoustic, and a nylon-string acoustic. One amp. A few pedals. I don't need all the electrics, though I can't bear to part with any of them due to sentimental value. But if it came right down to it, I could keep just the semi and be happy.

There's too much emphasis on things, especially on the internet. You really don't need a ton of stuff. How much can you play live? And if you don't play live, why are you buying more stuff instead of playing what you currently have?

as long as your not hurting yourself or others with the purchases, Go man go !!!

Since it's a twin, this one actually will hurt your ears and others. Careful with that volume knob...

G.A.S. applies to pedals very much so - once you get into boutique pedals, forget it. Also now that you have 6V6 and 6L6 covered, you need to get an EL84 and EL34 amp...
