According to the schematic, it should not be (when you said 1 you mean minimum I suppose). May be the pot is not completely shorted to 0 and the Cap C26 injects treeble a little bit. A new pot could be a solution.

Hi Jazzyguy,

I just tried my BJr, with and without the reverb plugged in. There does seem to be a very slight difference between the two sounds. I had to really strain to hear it though, my ears aren't the best. Looking at the schematic, it makes sense, since the reverb circuit is always in parallel with the signal, and the reverb pot isn't truly bypassed when turned down, so a small amount of signal would still be present. Hope that helps. :)

Happy to help, but then again your wife could always hit Target again and you can buy more gear or get some REAL Buffalo Wings  :D

Good call Tissan, I think that you are exactly right. Even when the pot is turned down, there is still a little resistance to ground. Maybe changing the pot to an audio taper would help. It would definitely allow better adjustment of the reverb level. :)

Well, I think both! If the reverb pot was perfect, it would completely ground the reverb signal when it was turned down, and no reverb would pass. The design (schematic) intends to completely eliminate the signal, assuming a perfect pot. But in most cases, the pot is not perfect and allows a little signal through. :)

My Blonde Limited Edition B.J. has no reverb leak in fact you don't get any change in sound until it's almost on 2.
