Hey i just bought a new 65 Reissue Twin reverb. I am trying to get a nice clean bluesy sound using a Gibson Les Paul. Can't seem to get the right tone dialed in. If anyone has any suggestions i play mostly blues, Classic Rock, Soul and RnB with my les paul. Thanks

Hi jdhonhol,

Have you tried turning the mid pot down to around 2 or 3 or even less, with the bass and treble turned up to maybe 6 to 8? You can actually dial the mids completely out with this amp. The TR has great tone control, you should be able to get a very clean sound even with humbuckers. Of course you want the Les Paul pickup selector switch in the middle.

Por favor, disculpe mi español, no se llega a la práctica con mucha frecuencia.

You can also try plugging in to one of the input jack 2s on the Twin. 2 has 6 dB less gain than input 1 and can help clean up hot humbuckers.

What would you guys suggest for a hollowbody. I am pretty close to getting the clean sound that i want but just not there yet. It sounds a little muddy.

Back your guitar's volume control(s) down to 7 or 8......that should clean up your tone.

I played a Les Paul/Twin Reverb combination exclusively for over thirty years and never had a problem getting the tone I wanted.
