I have a front man 65 i use for practicing. But every time i move it from location to the next the reverb stops working. The previous times this has happend i unplugged the reverb cables and switched it off and it worked.

But now nothing is working. If i shake the amp i can hear the amp springs working but there is nothing happening when i turn the knob up.

What should i do?

Slink,

Venturas here, I just bought a used frontman 65r with the black grill a short while ago. The guy I bought it from told me everything worked just fine. I got home, plugged it up added my tele and NO REVERB.
I unplugged the rca jacks and touched them to see if there was any noise made while touching. It was so I new it had to be in the reverb tank somewhere. I reversed the rca jacks and low and behold, I had reverb!

Now it's not much reverb, not like I'm used to from fender. I'm thinking the tank is real small and short. I am wondering if anybody out there has had similiar experiences with this. I'm thinking about trying a bigger reverb tank. I would also like some input on this before wasting any more money on the amp I got. I did find out after purchasing this that this was a replacement amp for the original. it was replaced in 2005. so I know there is not warranty on my amp.

Has anybody experimented with putting a bigger reverb tank in these amps.

Test first the cables (RCA), they can be cut.
