Hi All,

In trying to get the best wah sound in my pedal chain I found by putting my wah in the FX loop by itself instead of before or after my other pedals sounds the best!

my question is, has anyone done this and are there any problems with doing it? Also, I've read somewhere that you should use speaker type cables in the FX loop instead of instrument cables? Is that right?

Specificaly what I'm trying to do is to get rid of the annoying "quack" instead of the wah you get sometimes depending on the pedal in front.

I have a Fulltone Clyde Deluxe that I like to use after my overdrive type pedals. I dont like it before.... although I've tried it that way and it still sounds quacky..... if I turn down the volume on the pedal it seems to go away, but in the FX loop it doesnt matter.
The other thing I've read is maybe some sort of a buffer in the circuit would help with this problem? What do folks do if their amps dont have an FX loop? All my pedals are true by pass so I dont have anything with a buffer.

thanks! :)

Hi, Im using a VOX Wah, and its in my loop. (HRD) Works great. its in front of 4 modulators... I did notice that when placed before the pre amp (guitar, effects, input amp) It tended to have a very trebly sound.

BTW I am just using an instrument cable in the loop..
