I got my new amp today 65 super reverb
I played for 2 hours or so before heading to work
i am going to run her through the paces at church sunday
morning I might have some questions from you amp gurus
once I get a feel for her so I wanted to start a thread just to
let evryone know first impressions . What a difference it is
full and loud but you can still hear individual notes I am impressed
with the tone controls the most you can actually hear them shaping
the sound all the way through the rotation where as on other amps
it is almost like on or off too little or too much .

I am not too impressed at this point with guitar center
at this point but will give them a little time to make things right
they packaged the amp horrible and the power tubes and rectifier
were cracked one was completely shattered I am talking
to their ops manager and hopefully they can rectify the problems
but anyway I have a good feeling about this amp I think it might
have the tone I am wanting we will see how it cuts sunday morning
as I am now the only instrument not going thru the board
I have alott to compete with . time to update the profile

Outstanding, Clem!

You have a fine piece of issue, or "re-issue" in this case. I'm certain your SRRI will be fully capable of some serious CQB drill.

Sorry to hear about the gomers at GC......most of those "rocket surgeons" should seek employment elsewhere -- say, in the fast-food industry.

Anyway, rock on and remember......NSDQ!

The super reverb is a great amp.You should have no trouble cutting thru the mix .The shimmery sound of the 4-10s should be heard loud and clear.Great choice.
