I finally finished my BJr modifications and thought that I would share the results. It is rather lengthy to post here. Just click the "www" button at the bottom of my post to go to my site for the report. At the site, just click the "-Amps-" link at the top to read all about it. :D

Great mod-I wish I had the technical know-how to do such a mod job-I guess getting a tech to do it would cost mucho dinero so I'll have to make do with mine like it is.

I would only charge about $60 labor to do this mod and the two kits that I bought were $47 including shipping. A matched pair of new output tubes, depending on brand, can be $20 to $40, unless you want NOS tubes, they can cost a lot more. If you know a good tech, ask him what he would charge. Basically there are 5 small holes to be drilled, and removing 4 old caps and soldering in new ones. Maybe 2 hours labor, plus the kits come with great instructions, with pictures. The hardest part is removing the knobs, they are on very tight and it would be easy to break something trying to get them off if you aren't careful. :D
