I've very recently got myself back into guitar playing after three or four years of only playing bass. I set up my Cyber Twin SE 2x12, but was still unhappy with the stock 4-preset foot switch that came with it. I grabbed a Behringer FCB1010 after brief Google searching and seeing that people were pleased with how it worked with the Cyber Twin SE.

Unfortunately, this is my first adventure into MIDI and I have next to no clue what I'm doing.

I grabbed the following PDF...

http://livemusiciancentral.com/wp-conte ... -setup.pdf

...but it's still not helping me. I can tell that guide contains a lot of useful information, but it seems to assume the reader is already at least somewhat familiar with MIDI and skips a lot of basics. Embarrassing as it is to admit, I'm not even certain if I'm plugging the thing into the amp correctly!

Could anyone take a little time to lay out the basics for me? Even if you're unfamiliar with the FCB1010, any basic info on how to use the Cyber Twin's MIDI abilities would be of great help. I've been a fairly meat and potatoes guy as far as gear goes, but I want to start getting more potential out of my amp.

sounds like you need a real good book or a course, or better, an original cyber foot controller & cyber commander software... there is no easy way that i know of to come to an understanding of midi. MIDI was designed by engineers for use by engineers. the only way i know of is to pick up a good book or two and study. to solve your particular problem the answers have been been published on the forums, i just can't recall where. maybe behringer can provide you the software?

ciao,
johnny.
