That is interesting. I wonder how the "Rattle reducing shock absorbers for EL-84 tubes" work. I have an older tweed USA Pro Jr. and I can hear the tubes rattle when it is really loud. If anyone has a fix for this, I would welcome all suggestions. Thanks!

Using plastic damp ring or thermorectractable plastic around the valve (such as mesa-boogie sorting tubes) aren't they?

I think I need a set of those rings. Probably could use some new tubes also while I'm at it. They look like the original tubes that came with the amp, which I bellieve is a 1994.

Thanks for the info!

My local Fender dealer says that this upgrade is also on the Blues Jr. and HR Deluxe.

It won't happen at that price point.

You'll probably see the plate, handle, etc on the bay soon as single items?

[quote="Jazzyguy"]They also changed the writing of the control to read right side up....Does anyone know the logic behind how they did this on the previous series?..../quote]

I believe that it was how they used to do all of the amps with top mounted controls. I think that in the "old days" players would have their amps in front of them, so the writing would face the player. Maybe? :)

That's correct.

Also my biggest gripe against the original '50s-era tweeds.

I got these for the EL84s and 12AX7s in my Supro Sahara and it cured the tube rattle.
