Hi everyone,

first time posting on here, would be greatful for any help offered.

I've had a standard Fender Twin amp for 5 years (bought second hand) -im pretty sure its a 1995 one like this; http://www.dustbowl.co.jp/oldamp/fender ... p_1995.htm

I've been rehearsing with a band quite heavily recently and have been constantly been interrupted by a very high and thin feedback which is sensitive to reverb and the activation of my Boss EQ pedal.

When the amp is flicked live from standby there is a chorus of crackle and static, which does decrease but there still remains a large amount of hum, crackle and noise on the line (with or without a guitar plugged in).

On a possibly unrelated note, the red light bulb on the front often becomes dim and at times goes out totally. I've taken a pencil to all the tubes and can't hear anything unusual, what would be the best thing to do next? Is it likely that this a problem with my leads, guitar, pedals, amp or the amp's internal speakers?

Thank you very much :)
