Had the change to take a test on the PJr, at 2-3 volume it sounded nothing special, at noon, boy that tone gave me the chills, but I realised I could never use a PJr in that volume at home :(

So the SCXD is back on my radar, also is and vox AC4TV. What you guys think ? those two I got no way on test them here.

From youtube videos I foun the ac4tv sounds more "vivid", maybe is my mind, maybe the EL84 tube in there.
The SCXD has lots of headroom, but couldnt find anyone getting "satturated" tones aout of it.

Hard to choose... GAS

You said early on that you would be using an RP355. How is using the effects of the SCXD any different? Now you're basing your purchase on the break up of the amp. I'm not sure you are consistent in your considerations.

Yes maybe the GAS is getting me seriously confused about the gear I will buy.
Not have the RP355 anymore.

Sold my gear.

Now I must match a pratice tube amp and a multi.

My thoughts for today, today cause every day I get more and more confused about it:

Vox AC4TV + Vox Tonelab ST
or
Fender SuperChampXD + Boss ME-25

I've owned my SCXD for over a year and I like it a lot. I've even done small gigs with it. I don't use the built in effects much but they're decent. It's capable of a lot of nice clean and distorted tones but the modeling for the heavier tones won't really please most who are fans of the Marshall sound.
If you're thinking of driving it with pedals, I found that my SCXD's input was pretty sensitive and it would distort in an odd way with certain pedals like my Morley Wah. I even replaced the stock speaker with an Eminence Ragin Cajun. In my experience, I'd rather use a straight tube amp like the pro junior if you have all the pedals for your effects. In fact, I'm now in the market for a nice Blues Junior.
If you're just looking for a practice amp, the SCXD is a great all-in-one home amp but I wish I just bought a Blues Junior in the first place since I use a Line 6 X3L for effects.
