Fender Super Sonic Amp is about 4 years old, had one power tube repalced a year ago. When playing amp loses volume and sometimes when turned on you only get minimum volume...any suggestions?

There's a year left on the warranty.

I recommend you take it in and let Fender eat the cost to fix it.

Don't know enough about them to comment as to a cause, but I have to say, thats valve amps for you!

In the main they're fragile, unreliable, always on the verge of catching fire, will kill you stone dead if you touch them in the wrong place and require a lot of servicing. If things weren't bad enough, apparently some good quality valves are now becoming hard to source. If it wasn't for the fact that they sounded so damn good, no sensible person would touch them!

How many people do you know who still listen to valve radio sets??!!
