I know that some folks here are not big fans of the VM series but I have to say so far I am really impressed with what I have seen. I currently own a SCXD and Champion 600 and have had nothing but great results with them. Today I was out shopping for a new amp and tried everything from the Deville to the Super Sonic to the Blues Jr to the bassman 59 and I will be honest the Deluxe VM grabbed me and would not let go. So...Now I am going to be ordering one with the Blonde Tolex! I really love Fender amps!!! Just thought I would share that.

It's nice to see the blonde/wheatstraw cosmetics make a comeback.

Hey ABS, are you getting a battalion when you get to the 10th?

I've been resisting the itch to further look into the head/cab version, the Bandmaster VM. I really like all the features of the VM's (especially the 4 button FS). I know if I start looking, what the probable outcome will be.

The youtube demos sound great, but most do.

Give us an update after you've put some miles on it.

What's important is that you like it. Fender makes a variety of amps to appeal to a variety of needs. We're not all going to like each one, glad you found one that works for you. I too think the SCXD is a nice little amp, especially at it's pricepoint.
