I'm just an intermediate player. Mainly play blues (thus the DRRI). But the guys I play with like to play some rock also. We play stuff like AC/DC, Green Day, Cheap Trick, Van Halen. I have a Tube Screamer (TS808), OCD, and a Boss CE-5 (chorus). Is there anything I can add to get that Marshall type scream sound out of the DRRI? I was thinking a Line 6 Pocket Pod, but maybe a pedal would be better. On a side note, we are a bunch of old guys having fun, we don't take ourselves to seriously. I don't want to spend a huge amount, of $. LOL, please don't recommend to buy a new amp, just can't afford it. Thanks for the help.

Mark

You could try a high-gain pedal into the "normal" channel... A newer pedal like the MXR Fullbore would be worth a try, but there are plenty to choose from.

Its a great amp by the way...

You may find one of the digital modeling simulators helpful. I use a Zoom G1x -- usually around $100 on the web (Ebay) or at your local GC.

I also play a DRRI (among several other amps in my "herd"). It works great though the factory pre-sets need to be tweeked for optimum results.

Best of luck, HTH

Arjay
