Post subject: hot rod deluxe tubes

recently, my bass player spilled beer into my amp, immediately blowing both main tubes, does anyone know the replacement tube numbers( I think they are 6L6GC's) I dont have them in front of me, but, would like some advice on cheap but good replacements

Strongly suggest JJ6L6GC's for this amp and biased hot. It gets the best from these amps. The aforementioned link to eurotubes is where its at.

just an fyi... make sure you replace them with tubes that have the same coloring... it was an insert in the manual when i bought my HRD that mentions the stripes on the tubes and replacing them with tubes with the same color.

If you got enough liquid spilled "into" your amp, you should definitely check the circuit boards inside also. It's hard to imagine that only the tubes were damaged. Did it blow a fuse?

Your original Groove Tubes were possibly Fender 5881/6L6WGC, p/n 039214 "red label". They are relabled by Fender, original marking is Sovtek 5881WXT. If you look at the old tubes the Fender label color will be either red, white or blue. Fender does recommend replacing with the same color label, if you use the Groove Tubes. But there are other brands of tubes that will work well in that amp.
