Yeah I believe they are 57s, never really checked, they're original.

Post subject: Blues Jr + 335 + TS-9 (Brown mod) vs. Boss BD2 Keeley

So I got the TS9 with brown mod and gave it a try. I still need to take more time to find the sweet spot for it. But anyhow the thing about it is, that in order to find the sweet spot, I'd have to adjust the equalizer on the amp just to get the pedal to sound right.

That complicates my plan to be able to go from clean then stomp into overdrive. With it's middy nature I'm guessing it will be perfect for my Tokai Strat project. We'll see in the future.

3 weeks after buying the TS9 with brown mod, I bought a Boss BD2 Keeley. Totally beautiful and I haven't even had time to find the best setting for it! Great overdriven blues sounds and it can get nice crunchy for rock. The on/off toggle switch for the mid boost is a great feature to, very subtle boost, but very useful.

Awesome pedal to combine with a Blues Jr. + 335!
