Curious if anyone has gotten a killer setting good for blues, and tips for getting a setting for rock?

Im using an 335 copy with Seymour Duncan Pearly Gates and Jazz pickups.

Thanks for any tips!

I gigged with a 335 (original pups) and BJ for a while... treble all the way up, bass down to 2 or 3, that's a start :) you can get some nice Blues tones at lower volumes, it'll only get dirtier the louder it gets with a 335, so you'll have to play with the vol control on the guitar. I usually have the master all the way up and slowly turn the vol up..

I would suggest putting a 5751 in V-1 to out some of the bite.

are you sure you can handle it? ;)

You can see the BJ somewhere there :)

Cherry Red 335 is my buddy's, here's mine, but no BJ, it's gone...

and here's what it sounds like, 335 thru BJ, no pedals. I'm actually playing the Tele thru a DRRI :D

you can't go wrong with a 335, tone heaven! It's my favorite guitar, tone and playability.

I grabbed this amp used, doubt it's more than 3-4 years old. Here's what it has for tubes:

two EL84

two Sovtek 12AX7WC

and the last tube has some of the numbers worn off (I'll substitute a ? mark for the missing) E?C83? and the logo is of two "J's" in a red circle with a ramp like line separating them.

The seller also gave me two GT-EL84 fender groove tubes as spares.

Thanks for the suggestion and great playing in your video! I wouldn't have tried turning up the treble to 12 and bass to 3 had you not mentioned it.

Got a nice clean with reverb sound using
(Vol: 2 , Bass: 3 , Treb: 12 , Mid: 4 , Master: 12 , Reverb: 3)

However I cant get the nice break up you got in your youtube video cause my apartment neighbors will complain! So since I can't raise the volume super loud in my case, do I go for an overdrive pedal?

yeah to get that nice break up you gonna need to turn up the vol to around 6 or so... at lower volume you can turn down the master and turn up vol but it won't sound as nice IMO, a tube screamer is always the better option for me.
