Hello everybody,

I have been having a problem with my Frontman 25R. The bass seems to cut in and out at random times.

Anybody have any idea what could be causing this?

I'm handy with a soldering iron and can find my way around a circuit board, so I would like to take care of this myself.

Any suggestions?

Hi,

Could be a potentiometer issue (R9 or R40) --> inside the potentiometer or outside track open, bad soldering ...

Do you have the schematic, as I see you have technical skills?

By the way, is it the same on drive or normal ?

I don't have a schematic, yet. I'm sure I can find one online though

So problem solved.

The volume pot needed to be touched up and the clean channel, as one of the connections was not as good as it should have been.

Apparently this was the connection for the bass pot.

It works great now, thanks!

What did you do ?

Did you make soldering or just cleaning the pot ?

If you need the schematic, let me know.
