I'd like to buy a DELUXE REVERB 65 REISSUE for I listened to a blues guitarist in Cahors Blus Festival and found he had the best ever heard bluesy sound with his les paul
What do you thnk of this association,?doesit have enouh head room with a band?and is it loud enough to cut through? found the sound unbelievable!

I have a friend that brought over his Les Paul, it was gold, but I can't remember what model he said it was. He had installed Jeff Beck pickup(s) and he played it through my Hot Rod Deville (cranked!) and I was very impressed with the sound, although the amp was a little trashy sounding at that volume. I am sure that the Les Paul would sound even better through a DRRI, as far as clean sound, but not as loud. I think that my next amp will be a DRRI, unless I can find a vintage one that I can afford.

I can't remember if the DRRI was available when I got my Hot Rod Deluxe, but I would rather have the DRRI than the HRDlx, even though the HRDlx is louder, or at least more watts. I think the DRRI is 22 watts, and the HRDlx is 40 watts. Some reviews that I've read describe the DRRI as being loud enough to cut through the muddiest mix, and small enough for the bedroom. (Whatever that means ;) ) GC describes it as "The ultimate club amp for blues, rock, or country". Haven't read any bad reviews at all.

I think that most people here can agree that the DRRI is one of the better fender amps offered these days, at least in the 22 watt range. Tube driven spring reverb, tube driven vibrato, tube rectifier, US made.......have to stop and clean the drool off of my keyboard. :!:

+1!

And it won't matter if the Les Paul is a goldtop, a flametop, a "Black Beauty" or some weirdo looking thing with Zakk Wilde's name on it.

Any guitar sounds great with a DRRI.

yeah, anything sounds good to me through a DR or DRRI. :D
I own a '77 "Black Beauty" and plugged into a '66 DR...ooooooohhhhhh!
I still prefer the Strats though.
I think the Deluxe through all it's incarnations has been a winner.

My 335 and LP sound amazing thru the DRRI! But then again, so does the Strat :D ok so it's pretty much any guitar sounds great thru a DRRI, period.

I own a DRRI and one of the guitar I play is a Gibson LP Standard. It's a great combination of sound. As a matter of fact the DRRI sounds great with the other guitars I own too, both solid and hollow bodied Gibsons, Fenders, PRS and am American made Epiphone. No disappointments with this amp. It's a great sounding amp.
