Hi all, well today I swapped out my Sovtek Fender GT'S for JJ Tesla tubes in my HRD 410.

absolute better tone with the JJ's....I don't know why but I am thinking of changing out the 410 factory stock speakers to Jensens...

Do you guy's think a HRD is worth the speaker change...

As I will own this amp until it collapses....I figure investing in some nice Jensen speakers, I will get bang for my buck...but will it be great tone bang...

Has anyone out there tried the JJ tubes and JENSEN speaker combination on a Hotrod Deville?

The great thing about speaker swaps is that you can always keep them and put the old ones back in when it comes time to sell the amp.

I think the Deville is the best amp of that entire HotRod series of amps. In fact if you want my real opinion it's the only decent one of the series. So yah, it's worth a speaker swap if it's worth it to you...

I would recommend you try contacting Weber.

I believe you'll be much happier with their product than with Jensen.

Ahh thank you Mate...yeah I figured the same thing that if I do want to off load the amp...I can always sell it with the factory speakers and then sell the Jensens seperately...

I will have a look at the weber site properly thanks for the link.

How much are you looking to spend? You could try the Jensen P10R's. That would be a solid upgrade IMO.

Well I just got home from playing a 3 hr gig with my Hotrod Deville 410.

The tone with the new JJ TESLA tubes was just the BOMB!!!..

My feet are sore and my throat is like a volcano...

But It was an awesome show and the JJ's would have to be the best tubes I have tried so far.

I've been thinking about pullin the JJ 12ax7's out of my Peavey Delta Blues and swappin them with the stock Fender tubes in the deville, just to hear the differences. I suppose I'll go for it.

Does anybody know what kind of tubes to put in my Deville to drop the bass a bit and add a little more brightness?
