Hey guys,

I've been using a used Hot Rod Deville 2x12 for around 2 years now (I bought it used). I'm ready to purchase a new amp and I'm drawn to the '65 twin reverb ($1399 on Musician's Friend). My main concern is that my DeVille input jacks have been crapping out (intermittant signal loss, cutting out which requires a lot of jiggling to fix) for about the last 6 months. I've heard that this is because they're plastic and need to be swapped out with metal Switchcraft input jacks.

My question is, do the current '65 Twin Reverbs use plastic input jacks like the Hot Rod Deluxes/Devilles, etc., or do they come standard with metal jacks? Given the fact that they're "authentic reproductions" of the original, I'd assume they wouldn't. Is this correct with all of the post $1000 Fenders on the market today?

Thanks a lot.

Craig

They are metal, just as on the originals.
