Hi aclempoppi.

I have a Twin Amp Pro Tube Series 2005, and yes I have the footswitch, when I press the the switch effect for tremolo the red light turns on but nothing happens with the sound. Weeks ago It worked fine, but now It's not working and I dont know why.

The first thing that I would try is swapping out V5 with a new or known good 12AX7. If you choose a new tube, I'd get one with a pretty high gain rating. It seems that not all current 12AX7's are up to the task. Art

Ok, so you suggest to change tubes.....Since this is my first tube amp ever, I don't know if changing tubes is hard or easy. Someone with some basic knowledge of amps could do that replacement like me?.

That's cool man, this is not a tough job ! Looking at the amp(unplugged) from the back, a wooden panel will need to be removed, inorder to gain easy access and see what you're doing. For the first time, it might be a good idea to lay the amp down on it's face. The tubes are counted from right to left, when viewing from the back of the amp(V5=fifth from the right). Metal shields are fitted over the smaller(pre amp) tubes. These are spring loaded, to remove: depress towards the top of the amp and turn about 1/4 turn counter clockwise and pull straight off. Now might be a good time to use a sharpie to draw a reference mark on the glass tube down onto the shield base. The tube can now be removed by a firm straight pull towards the bottom of the cab. The tube pin-socket orientation can be seen by the gap between the pins. This gap can also be seen in the socket with a flashlight. The old tube's reference mark can help you align the new tube in it's socket by comparison. Once the new tube is aligned, it's a firm straight push, until seated. Return the shield and you're done. May sound like a lot, but once you get a feel for it, you'll be swappin' tubes with ease. Art
