Hello to you all!

I just purchased a Fender Deluxe Reverb RI Amp and its all good except
that the reverb is making this weird noise when i turn it over 4...
Its this "common" high pitch noise what you usually get when messing around with musical instruments (sorry, i'm from Finland and i dont know the exact term in English). It doesnt occur when reverb is 1-3 but when turned more it starts and it gets louder the more you turn it. So its unplayable when more than 4...

What is this? What might cause this? How to get rid of it?

Which of the tubes is the one that controls the reverb?

Please help :(

Hi!

Thank for the advice, the 3rd from the right is a 12at7 indeed...
So i just change that and i dont need to do any bias thingys or anything?
How do i take the "old" tubes out? I got the metal cover off just by pushing and turning left but the tube itself seems to be connected differently... is it just push/pull or do i need a screwdriver?

I also tried to move the reverb tank at the bottom but it didnt help, maybe just changed the pitch of the feedback a little....

I really hope this tube change will work.

Btw, is it normal for the 5A4R to glow with two yellow "lights" and the two 6V6GT's just have this one smaller yellow glow?

These might be a bit stupid guestions but im new to these tube amps so...

Hi,

If your amp is still under warranty, bring it back to the dealer, even the valves are under warranty.

There is no bias adjusment on 12AU/T/X7 because it is self biased by the grill connected to "DC GND" and Kathode higher by a resistor rougly 1K. That makes a self balance of the current (it is 2.2K in your amp for 2 triodes kathode in //).

The 5A4R is rectifier valve, I remember that it's only one filament on the common Kathode !!! I don't know

By the way, you can try V4 (12AX7) that mixes clean and reverb sound.

Thanks to both of you!!

My amp is now completely working.
I just changed the V3 and V4 tubes and that helped. I think the V4 was the culprit this time...

And i just have to say that the amp sounds so good right now and the reverb is amazing!!! My only regret is that i didnt purchase this amp earlier :D
Sound is so good with my custom strat and my semihollow that i cant even believe it :D

Thanks again!
