Post subject: deluxe vm amp

:? i have a deluxe vm amp it just started blown the fuse ? got a box of the same type fuses put one in turned amp on but as soon as you flip it off stand by it blows the fuses ? what can this be guys ?? .thanks for your help .gj

Could be a shorted power tube. It's not that old so I'd start there. It has a solid state rectifier so no rectifier tube is involved. I doubt it's a power supply cap but my HRDlx gave one up at 3 months old. The HRD and VM series aren't really known for quality USA made components. The caps in my HRDlx came from Taiwan. Luckily, it should be under warranty if it's anything but the tubes. Most times with tubes amps the trouble is just a bad tube. Don't know about troubles with the hybrid amps though. I really don't like the VM series much.
