How can I run two Super Champ XD's in a mono block configuration using one foot contoler for two amplifiers? Reminder: The Super Champ XD has only one input. There's a line out in the back of the amp. It was suggested that I use the Morley ABY switch. That would do it for the configuration I would think but would seem to deprive me of the DSP switching. This would seem to povide a simple stereo setup that my Boss BCB 60 board would provide anyway. And I'm not looking for that; I'm looking for mono. What I have touble with is the Fender Foot Controler. Which is a two way bi-polar?*( if we can call it that) switch: an on-and-off for the DPS. And an on-and-off, chanel selector. The Morley might do it, but I tend to think that I would need two which I want to avoid because I would eventually like to have a small Marshall or Vox on the other side. And who wants to have a ton of boxs on the floor when we can avoid them. This problem of amplifier stacking must exist in other Fender products namely the Fender Cyber Twin. There must be pro players out there that would want to stack two of them together and only use one Fender foot controler to run both of them it would seem only logic. The Fender Super Champ XD is a great amp at a low cost with a ten inch speaker that is perfect for the sound I'm looking for. But one XD is a little to light for my living room needs. Anyone out there with a similer albeit modest need. :?:

I have purchased cable splitter-type jobbies at Radio Shack. You might be able to get some Rube Goldberg similar arrangement to get that footswitch output split to the 2 inputs on the back of the 2 amps. I am not sure if the footswitch will handle that type of load though. And hey, it's Radio Shack. Can't cost too much to experiment.

Found this. Maybe put in the output of the footswitch, and run 2 cables, one to each amp:

Thanks for the echo. I'll order the part from Radio Shack. I haven't seen a Radio Shack here (in France) for quite sometime. I was originally thinking it would be something like this but the feedback I received from inquiries here was quite pesimistic. Hopefully, this or someting similar will workout just fine... Pp.

You might want to put the investment into a custom footswitch that is wired to connect multi gang switches to the amps so that each one has a set of contacts dedicated to it...

Electronic switching can be tricky if you're letting signals flow between two separate circuits...

From the schematics I can find they seem to use active circuit components, not just on/off switches...

These control boxes use voltage levels to tell the amp which effect to turn on or off, and doubling up might not work very well... even connecting both grounds might give you more noise than you need...

Looking at your problem makes me appreciate the stereo amplifiers in my Princeton Chorus<G>

For two amps I would use the Morley A-B-Y switch. It works great and won't break the bank. For more than two amps or if you are looking for a really great switch pedal I would go with the Voodoo Lab Amp Selector. You can switch or play up to four amps at once. I own both and the Voodoo Lab makes less noise with multiple amps running through it. It does cost twice as much as the Morley.
