What is your budget??? All of these suggestions don't mean much without you giving us a price range or goal that you are saving up for. I can only assume money is no object then, so get a Dumble. :D

To be honest, I have no clue man, all as i know is that I want a marshall, lol.
So you come to a Fender website and expect us to lead you to the holy land?Closest I can bring you is to 59 Bassman land.

Well, its a bit hard to know my budget when I get paid whatever money my parents have left every fortnight ($10-$30).....how much do marshall DSL's cost??

Yeah do an ebay search, or just google 'Marshall amps for sale'.

Here is a list of new Marshall amps in Australian dollars:
http://www.onlinemusicstore.com.au/inde ... s+Marshall

At the rate you get your allowance from your parents, you'll have $260-$780 per year and you'll need a lot of patience. Better start saving right now or get a job if you want a Marshall anytime soon. My advice would be to buy used. All Marshalls are not created equal so don't settle for the cheapest one since it won't be better than what you already have. The Haze 40 might be a good choice for features and price for you.

check out devilles and deluxes, you may love em for grunge. i do :) marshalls... not really grunge, good amps, but a bit different... not enough psychedelia in their sound for me. just don't buy anything more than 40-60 W if you're about to play at home mostly.

Guy's it's Grunge, does it really matter. It kind of just Crank N' Go

Seriously, I would look into a Tweed Deluxe 5e3 clone. Good enough for the "Godfather of Grunge". Neil prove all you need is 12 watts to play stadiums.

Riley I wouldn't consider a DSL if I were you mate. Not that their bad amps, I think their great, but as with all Marshall amps you gotta know how to work the dials to get the best out of em.

For the styles that you like, I really couldn't recommend a Fender amp, cept maybe a SuperChamp xd or Vibrochamp xd. I think the superchamp in your case would be better.

One thing is for sure, your going to appreciate a hybrid or solidstate amp more than a valve amp, so will your folks.

Or maybe look for a used Marshall AVT, all the heaviness and gain you need. The older Valvestates the 8040,8080,8100, 8240 and 8280 are really good too if you can find em, they dont cost a packet and last forever.
I owned a 8040 for years and toured with a 8280. Never did me any harm at all.
