If you're into Metal, go with a Marshall no doubt. Fender isn't known for amps that do Metal well. Some of the Egnater stuff does Metal pretty well too, so does Mesa.

I', into grunge, punk, and a bit of blues. So I'll have a closer look at the marshall range later.

You need to look at some Egnater stuff. Lots of versatility for the buck.

Come clean with us Supro. You're Bruce Egnater himself, aren't you?

Nah,LOL. 10 months with this amp and the honeymoon isn't over. Still rock solid. Bruce is a moderator on Rig Talk Forum. That's what's impressing me now. There is no longer a Mr Fender, but there is a Mr. Egnater.

Hardcore Fender fans are like Harley Davidson fans. Harley could make a bike with one wheel and no brakes and the fans would still buy them.

63 supro

Hey man I left the Fender camp for a while and got myself a Clark Piedmont, my friend now that is tone to D' bone !!!!!

I got it used at a SUPER low price and just didn't need all that.

I then got myself a victoria 20112 5E3 clone, again so sweet in the blues and classic rock stuff, not near enough headroom for clean stuff.

sold it for a nice profit too.

Then I found a 59 bassman LTD, the tone is good, real good.

I'm putting webers in it and some tube swaps to make her sing !!! LOL

I guess I'm just a Fender Die Hard !!! Hey I'm a Cubs fan what can I say.

What is your budget??? All of these suggestions don't mean much without you giving us a price range or goal that you are saving up for. I can only assume money is no object then, so get a Dumble. :D

I've always had different amps, Fender dominated for a long time but I always had an Ampeg, Dano or Silvertone around. Not any more though. My Twin is going as soon as my friend gets a little more cash together. Should be a couple more weeks. I'll still have visitation rights. LOL

I've done my thing and just enjoy the couple of blues bands I play in and jamming with my friends and a little recording. I spent a lot of years in clubs and bars and made some decent money along the way. Too much pressure sucks the fun out of it.

So you come to a Fender website and expect us to lead you to the holy land?Closest I can bring you is to 59 Bassman land.
